You can take household hazardous waste to an Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District (MMSD) Waste Disposal site. Sites are located in Franklin, Menomonee Falls, and Milwaukee. For information on hours of operation, call MMSD at (414) 225-2066. Some of the items accepted include cleaning products, automotive fuels, oil-based paint, paint thinner, fertilizer, antifreeze, thermometers, etc.
