Comprehensive Planning
In 2021, the Village adopted an updated Comprehensive Plan. What is a comprehensive plan? A comprehensive plan is a land use document that provides the framework and policy direction for land use decisions and future development. Components of a comprehensive plan include issues and opportunities; land use; housing; transportation; economic development; agricultural, natural and cultural resources; intergovernmental cooperation and implementation.
Public involvement is important to the development of a comprehensive plan. This plan reflects the voices of the Hales Corners community: residents, business owners, employees of Hales Corners businesses, Village Staff, and elected officials. The comprehensive planning process was guided by a committee made up of elected officials and residents.
