Home Visiting for Newborns
- Home visits are made by Public Health Nurses.
- Home visit referrals are obtained from family members, schools, hospitals, community residents, physicians, health agencies, and the Police and Fire Departments for the purpose of health supervision, education, and case management.
- Visits include an assessment of the newborn, weight and height, and car seat installations by a certified child passenger safety technician.
